This week's featured piece is going to be brief as HobNobMurfreesboro is getting ready for the 12 Days of Christmas Giveaway.  Roll the Dice has been Murfreesboro's best kept secret for awhile now.  A store that specializes in board games, Roll the Dice offers a unique environment to learn about, sample, and buy new and old games.  it's the perfect option for the family that wants to spend time together and grow as a family.

Adam Kinder of Affordable Water, the lovely Lora and a few other friends met up at Roll the Dice one Saturday morning to try the highly recommended Dominion, a tried and true deck building game.  Having never played a deck building game (think Magic, Gathering and Pokemon) I was naturally a little hesitant.  These games have a sort of stigma about them.

Owner David Sieber got everything ready for us and patiently explained the rules while we took it all in.  Basically, this equals that you can only play this card when you already have that card down.  Make sense?  Good!

Once we started playing, David continued to take time to stay with us and make sure we really understood the game before he went back to attending the store.  We had a blast.  It was time without electronics, without distraction and just friends hanging out enjoying ourselves.  By the time we finished playing, we were all astonished to see that two hours had passed and we had all had a lot of fun.

Dominion is one of the oldest deck building games and you can get a starter pack from Roll the Dice for $45.  It makes a great Christmas present for a friend or child that is perhaps looking for a new hobby.  2-6 can play at a time and if you just happen to fall in love, there are more expansions than you can shake a fist at.

If you aren't convinced yet, I encourage you to just go down to Roll the Dice yourself and take a look around.  Mr Sieber would happily walk you through the game or anything else he has on the shelves.  Have a favorite video game?  The staff will check around to see if that same company has made a corresponding board game to match.  Looking for a game someone told you about?  Roll the Dice will find it for you, even if they have to order it.  So get some friends together, get your family in the car and go down to Roll the Dice and find the perfect Christmas gift for someone or just splurge for yourself.  I guarantee you will be surprised at how much fun you have.  Enjoy!

I’ll be the first to admit it; I love technology. I love watching TV. I love roaming the internet. I love writing a hundred text messages a day. However, all the technology in the world can’t replace face to face interaction in the real world. There is something special about spending quality time with the people you love. No one knows this better than David and Kristen Seber, owners of Roll the Dice in Murfreesboro.

Roll the Dice is a tabletop gaming store that just opened in the heart of the boro. Offering board games, card games, and role playing games for people of all ages, Roll the Dice is all about having a good time with your family and friends.

Coming all the way from Colorado, David and Kristen are now sharing their love of tabletop games with Middle Tennessee. The store has only been open for 5 months, but is already has become the hub for all things tabletop in Rutherford County.

Roll the Dice is open from Tuesday-Sunday every week, and if you pay the store a visit you are sure to find a whole slew of people gathered around various tables playing all sorts of games. David and Kristen are dedicated to building a community, not just running a business.

Whether you are a game pro, or you are just looking for something to play at a party, David and Kristen are always ready to help you find the perfect game for you or your loved one. Roll the Dice’s game selection covers everything from classic trivia games, children’s games, zombie board games, Magic Cards, and fantasy pen and paper games.

The Seber’s are dedicated to making sure that every customer that walks into their store can find a game that they can enjoy for the rest of their lives. Roll the Dice is about games that are more engaging than just spinning a wheel or rolling a dice. A purchase from Roll the Dice will be out on the coffee table, not accumulating dust in a closet.

If you aren’t sure if a game that you’ve found is right for you, there is always someone around the store that is willing to crack open the box and play a few rounds. Roll the Dice even encourages you to try a game with your family before making a purchase. For just 1 dollar a night, you can rent a game to play with your friends. If you decide that you just can’t part with your rental, Roll the Dice will put your rental fee towards the price of your game.

Roll the Dice is located 215 Robert Rose Dr Ste F in Murfreesboro. If you like having a good time with friends, Roll the Dice is guaranteed to have a game you’ll enjoy. Roll the Dice also holds free gaming sessions weekly, so you can mingle with others around town while you enjoy a game of axis and allies.
