Ford Will Bring First Friday Star Party Talk Sept. 3

MURFREESBORO, TN - MTSU Department of Physics and Astronomy instructor Jana Ruth Ford will speak on “A Tour of the Summer Triangle” during the First Friday Star Party starting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 3.

The star party will begin in Room 102 of Wiser-Patton Science Hall. The event is free and open to the public.

After the 30- to 45-minute public lecture, there will be an outdoor telescope observing, weather permitting.

The star party is open to the general public, and MTSU students, faculty and staff. Children also are welcome.

Parking will be available after 4:30 p.m. Friday behind WPS.

Directions: At the intersection of Bair and East Main streets, take Baird to campus. Turn right onto Blue Raider Drive, then immediately turn left onto Friendship Street. Just before a curve to the right, turn left into the parking lot. Go straight. WPS is the second building on the right at the end of the parking lot. Please park in areas designated for parking. Handicap parking requires a state permit.
