Short Review of the Droid 2
The Motorola Droid 2 is the sequel to the very popular Droid which was released at the end of last year. It is a high-end Android smartphone available on Verizon.
Hardware
This phone feels and looks very industrial. It seems like you could run it over with a car without hurting it too bad. Of course, I didn’t actually try that. It has a physical, landscape, slide-out keyboard and a 3.7 inch screen. This makes for a nice compact phone, but the screen is a little small for my taste. It’s still larger than the iPhone’s screen however.
Software
Android has again been customized by Motorola and Verizon. I think it would be better if the interface were left alone, but it still gets the job done. You’ll find it may look a little different, but it essentially works the same as other Android phones.
Overall, there is nothing groundbreaking with this phone. It is a refined version of the original Droid, and the refinements make for a nicer phone. This is a great option if you really want a physical keyboard on your smartphone. For an in-depth review, check out Android Central's review.
