To Sunday, January 29 2012 - 12:00pm

Cody Collins (formerly of Lonestar) at Bluesboro!! Murfreesboro TNAt age 15, Cody joined a Country band called McAlyster who were later signed to MCA Records and had some success with the release of single “I Know How The River Feels”. Following the split of the band, Cody moved to Atlanta, Georgia to pursue a career in music and begansinging on demos for songwriters and playing locally at famous venues.

While performing at Cowboys, Cody was introduced to Dean Sams, keyboardist for multi-platinum selling Country powerhouse group, Lonestar. The pair discussed the possibilities of working together, but never had Cody anticipated the opportunities ahead.

At the end of 2007, Lonestars lead singer Richie McDonald left the band to pursue a solo career and following a rigorous audition process, Cody was brought in as his replacement. Cody rocked the stage as Lonestars lead singer for four outstanding years debuting their uptempo album "Party Heard Around the World".

Come 2012 Cody will be pursuing his life long dream of becoming a solo artist where he can fully utilize his talents on the big stage.

Though Cody has gone from being the hunk-next-door to being a superstar Country heartthrob, he is still the same down-to-Earth, sweet southern guy, who is grateful that he has been lucky enough to be able to live his dream.

“Most people take one look at me and completely misunderstand me – maybe it’s the long hair, snug jeans and cowboy boots. But I’m a roughneck at heart. I’m a grease junkie who likes to get my hands dirty working on my ’72 Nova. I guess most people don’t see that with one look!”

While touring and life on the road is a major part of Cody’s life, he loves the experiences of the open road, making hotel rooms home and getting to meet people all over the world. He also loves that in his position, he is able to give back and reach people with his music, which includes benefit concerts to raise money for St. Jude’s Children’s Charities.

“My ultimate goal is just to be recognized through music, knowing that people can relate to my songs and love my music.”
Cody currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, as he works hard on his solo career, but on his down time, he considers the ocean his escape spending time with his close-knit family.
