Rutherford LEAP Board of Directors Expands with Mallette, Lewis
MURFREESBORO, TN - Rutherford LEAP has announced the addition of two new members to its board of directors, Dr. Melinda Mallette and Nick Lewis.
Dr. Melinda Mallette is a physician with Tennessee Pediatrics in Murfreesboro. Mallette earned her M.D. from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, and completed her pediatric internship and residency at Memphis’ LeBonheur Children’s Medical Center. She earned her B.S in Biology from Middle Tennessee State University, and is an alumna of Riverdale High School. Dr. Mallette said she is “excited to find ways to broaden the horizons of the children of Rutherford County.” She also serves on the advisory board of The Discovery Center at Murfree Springs.
Nick Lewis acts as the Director of Cloud Computing for Microsoft’s U.S. Enterprise and Partner Group. In this role, Lewis advises Fortune 500 firms on how they can use software delivered on demand via the Internet and secured networks to improve agility, lower costs, and drive competitive advantage in their respective industries. Lewis earned his M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University, and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York.
Rutherford LEAP’s mission is to provide public school students in Rutherford County with the ability to become technologically advanced learners through the consistent, innovative use of a one-to-one laptop program, preparing them to “leap” forward into the future.
