Murfreesboro, TN - Team A.S.K. (Athletes for Special Kids) received $2,500 in financial support from Bill Taylor’s School of Karate.

Mr. Taylor’s Karate school is committed to helping people of all ages to discover endless possibilities through martial arts. After visiting Special Kids in December, and having the chance to meet children that are served there, Taylor felt it was a fit to involve his martial arts school in helping provide more possibilities to children with special needs.

"I visited the Special Kids facility in Murfreesboro and was very impressed with their facility and staff,” states Taylor. “ The Team A.S.K. program is a great way for people of all ages to contribute to a worthy organization helping local families with special needs children.”

The funds received from Bill Taylor will help the Team A.S.K. program continue to support children receiving rehabilitation and nursing services at Special Kids. Team A.S.K. dedicated to winning the prize. Whether it be by running a first race, helping a child walk their first steps or living a healthier life participating in Team A.S.K. can be a life changing experience. Murfreesboro, TN - Bill Taylor’s Bushido School of Karate will host a Back to School Bash at its Business Campus Drive location. Three world champions including boxing and kickboxing champ Troy Dorsey, welter weight boxing champ Gene Hatcher, and light weight kickboxing champ Dale “Sunshine” Frye will be present to demonstrate their world-class skills to all in attendance. Additionally, visitors will be treated to live music, a Bouncy House, Silent Auction, Dunking Booth, Cake Walk, *Free Bully Buster Class, and numerous giveaways. The event begins on Saturday at 10am and lasts until 3pm at 1911 Business Campus Drive, Murfreesboro, TN 37130.

“This event will give parents and students a great understanding of what we provide as Murfreesboro’s oldest and most respected martial arts company. Our instructors work with adults as well as children and know how to encourage, challenge and get the best out of every student no matter what their age or skill level”, stated Bill Taylor, owner and chief instructor of Murfreesboro’s first and largest private Martial Arts school.

Martial Arts Digest calls Troy Dorsey, “the greatest all around fighter in history.” 8th Degree blackbelt and 8-time World Champion Dorsey is a good friend of Bill Taylors and will teach a special seminar at 1:30 that is open to the public. Dorsey is the only man in history to hold world titles in Kickboxing, Boxing and Karate.

*A special feature to this event is the FREE Bully Buster Class open to all 6-13 year olds that register at 890-6755. Unfortunately for many, back to school means back to bullying. This very specialized class has helped thousands of local students learn how to handle bullying with confidence and skill.
