Murfreesboo, TN
: In lieu of today's restaurant review, I'm trying to do something a little bit different and show you instead a product review of gold canyon candles. The timing for this review could not have been more perfect as I had had a long day and could really use the break. Pam met me and gave me two different kinds of candles: sugar cookie and pomegranate.

Each of these 5 oz candles burns between 30 and 45 hours. Being an avid candle enthusiast (who is still straight I promise,) this is a great burn time for such a small amount of candle. Of course, as far as I am concerned, the 2 other factors to consider in choosing a great candle are price and potency. Pricing is really well done, penny for penny, coming in at just over $7 for 30 hours. No true test can be spoken as when I took the candles home. First off note, petroleum-based candles have a very strange  scent... one of which that I'm not particularly a fan. when I smell apple pie, it shouldn't be apple pie and a hint of gasoline. secondly soy-based candles can sometimes get expensive. However, the burn is much cleaner. Gold Canyon Candles are made with a paraphin-base. Let me clarify, not parabin. Parabin, bad. Paraphin, yummy.

I left the candle in a 9'x12' room with 8' ceilings for about 10 minutes. This is more than sufficient to make or break a candle's quality. I started with the pomegranate first because sugar cookies make me hungry. Re-entering that room was something of mystique. The scents that entered my nose were exciting, mysterious, full body aromas. I gotta say that after this experience I am all about Gold Canyon Candles. Forget Yankee. Forget Walmart. I'm a believer. I'm writing down this phone number and you should too. Or text Candles1 to 90210 for giveaways and discounts. Pam Quigley, our local agent, can be reached at 615-898-0518. Enjoy!
